Muhammad Hassani محمدحسنی Regions with significant populations Languages Balochi Brohi Religion Islam Related ethnic groups Baloch people The Mohammad Hassani (or Mamasanis) are a large Baloch tribe (sunni muslims) living in the districts of Chagai, Kharan, Washuk, Kalat, Awaran, Khuzdar, Quetta, Nushki, Mastung, shahdadkot Panjgur and Makran in Balochistan and Sindh and Panjab.They also have notable person's in Helmand larkana shahdadkot (Afghanistan), Zahidan (Iran) and Iraq. According to some estimates ,their population is 55,0000 in Pakistan. Sardar Raza muhmmad khan Muhammad Hasni of panjgur has been heading the tribe for many many years .They speak several languages including Balochi, Brahui, and Persian. The current tribal chief of the Mohammad Hassanis in Pakistan is Sardar Raza muhmmad khan Muhammad Hasni There are many subtribes of Mohammad Hassnis ,namely Durrakzai (largest), Kalmalizai, Harooni, Mandawzai, Eidozai, Chakarzai, Bakhalzai, Zeerkari, Nazarzai, Khiyyazai and Shahaqzai. Mohammad Hassanis take Hazrat Abbas (uncle of Prophet Mohammad) as their ancestor, hence some of them (those who live in Panjab) like to be called Abbasi.
